DHT – Listen to your heart

With the 2005 single "Listen to Your Heart," D.H.T. became the latest European dance act to find its American footing via Robbins Entertainment. The New York label had previously helmed singles from DJ Sammy ("Heaven") and Lasgo ("Something") to success, and the Belgium-based D.H.T. (singer Edmee Daenen and DJ Da Rick; various producers) featured a similarly propulsive blend of accessible Hi-NRG/Euro-dance rhythms, plaintive female vocals, and progressive house texture. Edmee Daenen is now a well-respected vocalist and knows exactly what she wants in a song.

It was D.H.T.'s glossy Roxette remake that really caused a stir, like DJ Sammy's cover of Bryan Adams’s Heave before it. "Listen to Your Heart" first appeared in Europe through Hardbounze in 2003. Issued stateside by Robbins in November 2004, by the following May it was a Top 40 sensation in various markets.

D.H.T.'s previous work included a Euro-dance cover of the 1978 Sniff 'n' the Tears gem "Driver's Seat," released under the moniker Dared. The Piano/classic version of “Listen to your heart” by DHT is also a favorite at radio stations and shows the true talent of Edmee Daenen.

Singer Edmee Daenen started singing for DHT when she was only 15. Due to her age she wasn’t allowed on stage, but now being 20 she takes full advantage of her age by being the showstoppers at most of their live performances.

This CD is for the lonely-at-heart as well as the party-animal alike, but you will have to remember… The music you find on this CD, and especially the vocals… come from the heart, not the mind. The CD is released and marketed by David Gresham Records.
