Since Cape Town and surrounds got deprived from their different separate municipalities not too long ago, NIGHTGUIDE would like to acknowledge the GREAT INCOMPETANCE of the GREATER CAPE TOWN MUNICIPAL METROPOLE, or GREATER CAPE TOWN MUNICIPALITY, depending on what they feel like calling themselves on any given day.

After numerous phone calls, hearing boring tunes over the phone, listening to “please hold” and clipping my nails, making microwave dinners, still holding and a lot of explaining, NIGHTGUIDE’s webmaster realized that probably NO-ONE in the Cape Town City Council can tell him where the Northern Suburbs starts and ends, and so too for the Southern Suburbs.

Some of their staff even asked me “where that place is?” or “if I would like the dialing code”, because “then I will have to

phone 1023.”

So NIGHTGUIDE came to the rescue and created our own NORHERN and SOUTHERN SUBURBS.

WE USE THE N2 HIGHWAY AS A DIVIDER BETWEEN NORTHEN AND SOUTHERN SUBURBS, BUT IF YOU ARE UNSURE OR DROPPED OUT OF THE GEOGRAPHY CLASS AT AN EARLY AGE, HERE’S SOME GUIDELINES…
